Fat Torching Tips, Part 2
Posted on February 10th, 2011

We know that exercise is important but just how important is it for fat torching? It’s very important especially for cardiovascular fitness, reducing stress levels, and overall mental health. However, jumping on the treadmill daily won’t get you the results you want. Why? Our bodies are so fuel efficient that whatever we’ve done in the past doesn’t quite do the job as well anymore. If you’re in your 40s and beyond, workouts may not have the same effect anymore and that can be frustrating. However, regardless of your life stage, you can conquer fat and get in the best shape of your life. Check out my fat torching tips on exercise to get you moving, more!
Exercise
- Exercise early in the morning or when you’re at your best. Studies show that the earlier you exercise, the greater likelihood that you’ll stay consistent. Stick with that schedule and aim for 5-6 days per week of exercise. If your schedule jammed, don’t despair. Keep this quote in the forefront of your mind, “Just do something.” I have to remind myself of that quote often (yes, even trainers have to push themselves!)
- Get stronger! Lift weights 2-3 times per week which translates to only 1 1/2 hours per week! The benefits are numerous but here’s a few of them: less fat, flatter abs, tighter butt, positive attitude, better love life and increased self-confidence.
Recovery from long or intense exercise bouts is a must! Your body responds to your workouts if you take 24-48 hours to rest in-between workouts. Rest includes adequate sleep, hydration, and additional management such as massages and stretching. Remember, body composition is the proportion of lead body mass and body fat. Lean body mass is made up of the muscles, organs, bones, skin, blood, and nervous tissue. It’s no wonder why it takes time to lose weight and keep it off. Your entire metabolic rate is affected when you attempt weight loss, that’s why it’s so important to do it slowly, systematically, and with lots of patience!
