  • Your Heart Works Hard and You Should Too!

    If you want to get and STAY in the best shape of your life you have to take care of your heart at every age. The heart is the most amazing organ and when it comes to achieving your fitness goals you must do everything you can to ensure that you keep it healthy. Check out some incredible statistics about the heart:

    * Your heart pumps about 5 quarts of blood throughout your body every 60 seconds
    * The adult heart beats approximately 100,000 times a day which results in about 2000 gallons of blood
    * It’s estimated that by the time we’re 70, our hearts would have pumped over 2.5 billion times
    * Given all the work it does, the heart is about the size of a fist!

    So what does that mean to you? It means that you must stay consistent with activities like cardiovascular training and circuit strength training which can also benefit your heart. Stop procrastinating and make a plan to do something TODAY! Here’s a fantastic article on specific ways to protect your heart at every age.
