FAST Fitness Camp (FFC) is a program that teaches tweens about the not-so-obvious aspects of fitness that if trained regularly, can improve their performance in everyday life.
Through my personal experience and working with many busy families, one thing stands out; upper elementary and middle school years can be challenging! Our tweens go through many changes during this time period including developmental, social, and emotional. That's exactly why I developed this camp with the middle school student in mind!
During this camp, we’ll review strategies to be a well-rounded student, whether they play sports or not. Topics include general fitness (e.g. core, flexibility), how-to sessions, and how these lessons fit into everyday life. Additional topics include nutrition, stress management, rest, and recovery. We will have specific activities that touch on these areas.
Campers will complete an optional visioning exercise during the week. This is a reflective and interactive activity that provides a guide for students as they create their well-balanced vision board. In my experience, these combined activities help build confidence in campers during the camp session and beyond.
